The product is supplied as a standard bare die device by default. It is suitable for high-power NIR illumination modules, machine vision light source development, industrial sensing systems, active optical detection, compact high-power source designs, and chip-level VCSEL module integration.
With 6W-class optical output power and 5.5W typical output at IF = 7A, this device provides a high-output 850nm VCSEL source for applications requiring strong NIR illumination, multi-emitter die structure, thermal design review, and compact bare die assembly flexibility.
2. Key Features
This 850nm 6W VCSEL bare die is supplied as a standard ultra-high-power multi-emitter VCSEL chip for NIR illumination and optical source applications.
Key features include 850nm typical wavelength, 6W-class optical output power, 5.5W typical output at IF = 7A, 1273-emitter bare die structure, 10±1μm emitting aperture, 38% typical power conversion efficiency, 19° typical beam divergence at 1/e², stable central wavelength, and doughnut-shaped symmetrical far-field output.
The bare die format allows flexible integration into ceramic submounts, thermally optimized chip-on-board assemblies, compact optical modules, high-power NIR source modules, and customer-specific VCSEL packages.
Package-level assembly, wire bonding, ceramic submount mounting, thermal path design, pulse drive condition review, beam shaping, divergence control, and customer-specific optical spot requirements can also be reviewed according to the customer's optical, electrical, thermal, and mechanical layout.
3. Application Development Direction
This device supports 850nm ultra-high-power NIR illumination, machine vision auxiliary lighting, industrial detection, active optical illumination, high-power VCSEL module development, and custom NIR optical source integration.
